In this introductory workshop for pointed pen calligraphy students will learn the essential concepts of calligraphy and build a solid base to write with an oblique dip pen and a flexible nib. They will acquire an understanding of the main tools and proper techniques. Traditional copperplate lowercase and uppercase alphabets will be covered in this 6 hrs. workshop and students will be able to practice on their own with the kit provided to take home.
This is a really fun, no-pressure workshop for anyone interested in learning a new skill, picking up a fun hobby, artist looking to try a new technique/medium, or just something fun to do with friends. Suitable for beginners, those who have never picked up a calligraphy pen before, or if it's been a while and you want to brush up on your skills and learn the proper techniques.
