Welcome to the delightful world of drawing with a pointed pen! In this mini class, you'll discover the art of drawing six charming field flowers: lilacs, anemones, irises, poppies, sunflowers, and daisies. You'll learn to create each flower's unique shape using simple pointed pen strokes.

But that's not all! We'll also share some nifty tips on designing a composition that beautifully complements your calligraphy or lettering. You'll have the chance to create a lovely card or a stunning floral arrangement to accentuate your calligraphy masterpiece.

And guess what? We'll take it one step further and use our splendid florals to create a charming chocolate wrap! Imagine gifting your loved ones a sweet treat with a touch of your artistic flair.

Get ready to unlock your creativity and create wonderful gifts and artwork with just a pointed pen. It's going to be a blooming fantastic adventure! Let's get started!

You can take this workshop with your own material!

The workshop includes:

  • 4 hour live instruction session
  • Q&A
  • Access to the recorded session, available for one month
  • Downloadable material with the layouts and templates

Inside this 4 hours class you will learn:

  • How to create thin and thick strokes with ease.
  • Specific warm up strokes
  • You will learn step by step to create 6 different flowers and various forms of composition. I will guide you and you can easily follow the templates. The exercises will help you to either create them as cards, art pieces or implement some elements in other projects and further your practice and creativity.

Suggested materials:

  • pencil or mechanical pencil for sketching
  • pointed nib of your preference (Hunt 56, Gillot 303)
  • pen holder of your preference
  • practice paper
  • Sumi or vermillion ink will be enough to practice but, if you would like to practice  and have fun with colors I suggest gouache, watercolor or metallic watercolors of your choice.
  • Watercolor paper for the Chocolate Wrap
  • A chocolate bar (maybe 2, so you can eat one)
